WHAT IS INVISALIGN AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. Using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to project tooth movement, Invisalign creates a series of clear, custom-made aligners that gradually move your teeth. You wear each aligner for about two weeks, moving to the next set, until your teeth are straight.

ABOUT CASE SELECTION

WHO DOES INVISALIGN WORK FOR? WILL IT WORK FOR ME?
Yes, Invisalign will work for most people. It is effective for a wide range of people, including those whose teeth are too crowded, who have gaps between their teeth, an overbite, a deep bite or whose teeth may have shifted since wearing braces. Invisalign is for adults and teens whose teeth are fully grown in. To find out how Invisalign can work for you, schedule an initial screening with Dr. James Azizzadeh.

DOES INVISALIGN WORK FOR TEENAGERS OR KIDS?
Yes, if your teeth-including second molars-have grown in fully.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR GETTING INVISALlGN?
Schedule an appointment with Dr. James Azizzadeh, who can help you decide if Invisalign is right for you. Then, Dr. James Azizzadeh writes a treatment plan and submits it to Invisalign, along with X-rays and an impression of your teeth. Using 3-D computer imaging technology to project tooth movement, Invisalign translates the treatment plan into a series of precisely customized aligners. You wear each aligner for about two weeks, moving to the next set, until your teeth are straight. You return for appointments typically once every six weeks. This is the only way Dr. James Azizzadeh can be sure that the treatment is progressing as planned.

DOES A DOCTOR NEED ANY SPECIAL TRAINING TO TREAT WITH INVISALlGN?

Dr. James Azizzadeh has attended a comprehensive training program to become certified and proficient in the various requirements necessary for treating patients with Invisalign.

ABOUT PRICING WHAT DOES INVISALIGN COST?
As with traditional braces, the cost will be based on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment.

DOES INSURANCE COVER INVISALlGN?

Typically, an insurance policy that covers traditional braces also covers Invisalign to the same extent.

ARE FINANCING OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Our practice has financing options available.

ABOUT TREATMENT

HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE WITH INVISALIGN?
As with traditional braces, treatment times will vary depending on how much straightening your teeth will need. Nevertheless, in cases completed to date, Invisalign cases finish in approximately the same amount of time as conventional braces. Only Dr. James Azizzadeh can determine the length of your treatment.

HOW OFTEN MUST I WEAR THE ALIGNERS?
Aligners should be worn day and night, except when eating, brushing or flossing.

ARE THERE RESTRICTIONS ON EATING AND DRINKING?
No. The aligners are removable, so you can still enjoy your favorite food and drinks.

WILL INVISALIGN AFFECT MY SPEECH?
Invisalign may temporarily affect your speech for a day or two, until your mouth adjusts to aligners.

DOES INVISALIGN HURT?

There may be some mild soreness each time you start a new aligner in the series. This is a normal sign that the aligners are working -sequentially moving your teeth to their final destination. The soreness subsides within a few days.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Just make an appointment with Dr. James Azizzadeh for an initial screening. You may find more valuable information at www.invisalign.com

Invisalign

Invisalign is a new system of straightening teeth without the use of conventional braces. A series of clear plastic aligners are utilized to create tooth movement. Moving teeth with removable aligners is not new. However, the computer program, which can generate a series of aligners with small changes is the new part. Invisalign is recommended for orthodontic situations with mild to moderate spacing or crowding. They are virtually undetectable, easy to use and comfortable to wear.
